Bases are typically used to attach components to an optical table securely.
Base clamps secure a base or other object onto an optical breadboard or table. A long slot gives flexibility of positioning and a cap screw allows easy clamping and removal. Both 1/4-20 and M6 screws are offered. Clamps and screws are available individually or as a set of ten pieces.
Fixed Bases for Post Holders and Stages
These anodised aluminium mounting plates match standard hole patterns and mount directly to optical tables and breadboards. The mounting slots accept both M6 and 1/4-6 screws. These bases come in 3 sizes to suit standard stages and three types to suit post holders.
These are compact bases for moving optical components in and out of the optics path. They have a repeatability of 5arcsec (25µrad) to minimise beam deviation.
Kinematic bases provide precise positional replacement of the base. They allow you to accurately remove and replace components from the optical path in a highly repeatable manner. By using a set of separate top plates, you can exchange samples with a high degree of precision. A large, easy to use thumbwheel lets you secure the top plate in position quickly.
These magnetic bases have switchable magnets for flexible positioning. Use them to mount your optical components at any convenient position on an optical table. Once the component is in place, switch the magnet on to hold it. The magnets have a high holding force suitable for permanent or temporary mounting.
Pedestal bases are a strong and secure method for mounting your mirrors and other sensitive optics. An M4 or 8-32 screw directly threads into the top or bottom of the pedestal. Varying the pedestal height allows you to adjust optical centre-heights easily.
