Laser 2000's range of visible and IR laser diodes are available in both freespace and pigtailed formats. Laser diodes come in many industry standard package styles, output powers and several different cavity formats. Cost effective, our laser diode modules deliver high performance coupled with ease of use. The laser diode module is a simple and reliable way to incorporate a laser into a system or experiment.

A laser diode is a highly sensitive light source. Our range of laser diode current controllers, temperature controllers and mounts give you the most sensitive of control and measurement, whilst providing a high degree of protection to the laser diode by filtering out and suppressing static electricity, electrical surges, shocks and mains transients. They allow you to adjust the output power, wavelength and diode laser mode stability with high precision, resolution and stability.

Any laser diode is highly susceptible to damage from static, electrical spikes and transients. If extreme, these can cause irreparable damage to the diode or cause it to fail catastrophically. Laser 2000 diode laser current controllers provide a host of features to protect and shield the laser diode, to help maintain your laser at peak performance.

The diode module combines a high quality laser diode, electronic drive circuit and collimation optics together in a compact robust package. A sophisticated laser diode drive circuit protects the laser diode from harmful electrical signals and provides a stable, low noise optical output. A high quality aspheric glass lens collimates the laser output efficiently, to minimise optical loss and scatter.
