YAG Laser Focusing Lenses

YAG focusing lenses from OptoSigma range in focal length from 20 to 150mm. The lenses consist of two or three air-spaced glass elements mounted in a metal cell. Although the focussing lenses all have a 30mm clear aperture, they are for use with beams less than 1 inch in diameter. The lenses are anti-reflection coated with a high damage narrowband multilayer AR coating that gives less than 0.5% reflectance per surface at 1064nm.

As these lenses are chromatically corrected, a HeNe guide beam or visible range video monitor beam will be in focus at the same position as the YAG beam. For high power laser applications, optional protective windows attach to the focusing side of the lens. In the event of accidental back reflection of a high-energy beam into the lens, this window is likely to absorb the energy and shatter. This prevents damage to the lens itself. Because the windows are easier to clean than the lens, they are also useful in dirty environments. The windows come in packages of ten pieces. For optimum performance, we advise that the windows are AR coated with the A46 V coat at 1064nm.
