About the niji
The niji is an innovative LED source designed for microscopy. It allows for flexible control of up to seven colour channels from UV through to NIR. It is connected via a 3 mm or 5 mm liquid light guide and a collimator to fit most common microscopes.
LED sources have a number of advantages over mercury lamps including low power consumption (resulting in huge savings in whole life cost), zero toxic metals such as mercury, reduced out-of-band photo bleaching, reduced filter bleed-through for clearer pictures, and controllable low-level light for reduced photo toxicity.
