Raman Filters

Semrock stocks the widest selection of Raman-spectroscopy grade edge filters available, with edge wavelengths from the UV to the IR. These filters are so steep and highly transmitting that they out-perform even the leading holographic notch filters, yet are less than half the price! Now you can see the weakest signals closer to the laser line than you ever have before. With their deep laser-line blocking, ultra-wide and low-ripple passbands, proven hard-coating reliability, and high laser damage threshold, they offer performance that lasts. RazorEdge filter technology is so unique that it is patented (U.S. Patent No. 7,068,430 and pending).

• Steepest edges to measure even the smallest Raman shifts (~ 0.5% of the laser wavelength!)
• Deep laser-line blocking for maximum laser rejection (> OD 6)
• High signal transmission to detect the weakest signals (> 93% average)
• High laser damage threshold and proven reliability (1 J/cm2 for 532 nm)
• Rejected light is reflected, for convenient alignment and best stray-light control
• UV long-wave-pass filters, including 248.6 nm!

RazorEdge filters are available in two grades determined by the "Transition Width," which is the guaranteed maximum difference between the laser wavelength (where the filter attenuation exceeds optical density 6) and the filter edge-wavelength at the 50% transmission point.

RazorEdge Transition Width:

• < 1% of the laser wavelength for the "U grade"
• < 2% of the laser wavelength for the "S grade"

Filters are available in long and short pass formats and for use either at 0 degree or 45 degrees incidence.
