Laser 2000 provides a range of different crystal materials for various operations. Crystals can be provided in boule, wafer, or machined to specific dimensions. They can be supplied coated or uncoated for a range of different laser types.


Mg-Doped Stoichiometric Lithium Niobate

   Mg:SLN

Mg-doped Stoichiometric Lithium Niobate is available from Deltronic Crystal Industries as wafers, plates, boules, or custom fabricated shapes. Z-cut, X-cut, Y-cut and special orientations are supplied in sizes up to 2" diameter.

Mg-doped Stoichiometric Lithium Niobate is a greatly improved quasi-phase-matched nonlinear material for a variety of frequency-conversion applications. It demonstrates improved photoreactive damage resistance at low Mg concentrations, making it unnecessary to heat the crystal. Periodically poled Mg:SLN shows almost one order of magnitude lower switching field for 180° ferroelectric domains reversal than does Congruent LN (CLN) opening up the possibility of larger aperture for PPLN structures. In addition the shorter absorption edge, 302nm (320nm for CLN), makes it possible to extend the application of this material further into the blue spectral region.
