Capable of operating over a broad wavelength range (i.e. 850nm and 1310nm), multimode fused couplers can be used within fibre optic instrumentation, sensor systems and local area networks.

Multimode couplers are manufactured and tested under fully filled launch conditions. An underfilled launch may alter the coupling ratio.
