Fibre Laser technology
Excellent beam quality and power stability make the fibre laser a multi-purpose tool. Fibre lasers allow near diffraction limited beams, with M² <1.1.
The patented "Injection Technology" in the Laser 2000 high-power fibre laser range allows the use of highly reliable broad-area laser diode pumps, to give cost-effective and maintenance-free operation. The all-fibre design guarantees the robustness of the fibre laser, without any optical parts to align or to stabilise.
Fibre lasers are very simple to integrate into larger systems. Their compact, robust, & user-friendly design makes them ideally suited to the demands of laboratory, factory and integrator alike. Options include: polarization maintaining output; SLM operation; optical collimation; and a range of packages such as OEM compact format, or plug & play bench-top & rack-mountable units.
With a wide range of options and fibre lasers available in CW or pulsed regimes, at 1.0µm or 1.5µm, Laser 2000 fibre lasers cover a variety of telecom, industrial, scientific, medical and LIDAR applications. Uses of fibre lasers include research, mapping, measurement, optical tweezing, welding, cutting, marking, high power ablation and micromachining.
The Rock series of fibre lasers is a range of very narrow linewidth (long coherence length) solid-state lasers. These fibre lasers exhibit extremely low phase noise, making them highly suited to measurement techniques that take advantage of their long coherence lengths.
