Greater storage capacity: Tegile use both deduplication and compression to achieve in excess of 5x the usable data storage capacity. For example, a 22TB system using RAID 10 can provide up to 45TB of usable storage (depending on the type of data) - Many alternatives on the market only use compression which gives you around 30% in additional capacity, nowhere near what our Hybrids can achieve.

Expandable: If you buy a Tegile hybrid storage array and find that your storage capacity is not sufficient due to your demand on your network increasing there is no need to buy a second unit. You can simply use an expansion shelf to increase the amount of raw storage available!

Mixed RAID capabilities: All hybrid models (other than the base model HA2100) have the ability to support mixed RAID, allowing you to further increase the storage available (You can use mixed RAID with a HA2100 and an expansion shelf).

Solution Optimised Storage
Zebi configures itself to optimise memory, as well as read/write caches and disk storage by application. As a backup store, Zebi optimises for high throughput, in-line de-duplication and compression. As a virtual store, Zebi can be configured for high-IOPS, providing automated backups via snapshots, in addition to providing near-instantaneous restores. As a database store, Zebi can be configured for high IOPS, while simultaneously maintaining a replicated store through incremental data updates. Zebi also provides options for storage administrators to tweak existing templates to further improve performance and latency.

High Performance, Flexibility, Reliability
Zebi's quad-core Xeon processors, significant RAM, read and write SSD caches provide high IOPS and incredible throughput.

Network flexibility is provided by integrated support for block (iSCSI, FC) and file protocols (NFS, CIFS) using Gigabit Ethernet, 10Gig Ethernet, and Fibre Channel interfaces provide . Further flexibility is provided through the ability to aggregate links, configure virtual NICs, etc.

In-box reliability comes from silent data corruption detection and correction, rich RAID options (mirror, RAID 5/RAID 6 and Triple parity RAID, etc.), dual hot swappable power supplies.

Storage, More Storage, Dense Storage
Zebi is built with enterprise class SAS hard disks in 2u to 4U options so it packs a lot of storage in a small space. Inline variable block de-duplication and compression maximises logical storage capacity by ensuring that data is stored efficiently. Thin provisioning on Zebi allows applications to over-provision storage while using only what is actually required. Fast and efficient, low disk consumption snapshots and cloning allow administrators to make copies for backups, restores, and mass provisioning of virtual instances without consuming additional disk space.
