CaseCenter is a full server framework that organises your virtual microscope slides for effective pathology or research workflow.

Users log in via a web interface and only need the free Pannoramic Viewer software or a JAVA compatible browser. Convenient and easy, the virtual microscopy viewer can be downloaded or installed on any computer. Access to digital slides and data is controllable for security and good workflow. For example, you can set access so that individuals or groups only see their own cases, which allows them to locate their work easily.

Fast search locates cases and slides in the extensive database quickly

CaseCenter automatically organises your virtual slides into a logical structure. This allows you to find the next case or slide quickly, follow a logical workflow and locate virtual slides according to your own criteria. For example, you could quickly find all Ki67 liver samples from the past 6 months.

Fully integrates with your existing database systems

CaseCenter integrates with PACS, HIS, LIS and other external database systems. This allows you to integrate digital pathology and virtual slides fully into your workflow. The service is HL7 and webservices (XML) compliant.

To make virtual slide access in remote departments faster and to maintain a higher level of data security, you can easily add more slide storage to the network.

Fully automate the scanning process with barcode recognition. CaseCenter reads glass slide barcodes to eliminate human error in slide naming and filing.

Once scanning finishes, the virtual slide is available immediately. This is because CaseCenter scans the microscope slide directly to the server. Users are also able to see the progress of the scan in real-time. This helps with workflow and time management as it ensures fast case and study turn-around times.

Teleconsultation capabilities make slide and case sharing easy

Teleconsultation lets you share slides with no cost and no risk of damage. Consultations are much quicker. You no longer have to wait for slides to arrive at their destination.

CaseCenter allows you to review your slides with collaborators and colleagues in real-time. All of your slides are available over the Internet, without the need to upload or email large files. You are able to review slides with peers anywhere in the world, easily compare notes and obtain second opinions. Group review is also possible. In addition, multiple users can annotate images.
